Project Description:
The proponent is proposing to develop and operate a 4.8-hectare quarry located along South Branch Access Road, approximately 19 kilometres west of the Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay, Labrador. Construction would include vegetation clearing and grubbing of soils. Operations would include crushing, screening and stockpiling of materials. The aggregate materials produced would be used in local construction projects.
- July 19, 2023 – The undertaking was registered.
- August 24, 2023 – Deadline for public comments.
- September 2, 2023 – The Minister’s decision is due.
- September 7, 2023 – The Minister determined the Project is released.
