Proponent: M-1 Drilling Fluids Canada, Inc.
Summary of Environmental Assessment Process
The proponent proposes to relocate their warehouse and liquid mud plant, presently at two sites – warehouse at St. Annes Industrial Park and liquid mud plant at Mount Pearl, into one location on Logy Bay Road. This consolidation is expected to improve the ability to enforce health, safety and environmental policies, reduce the transport of materials and allow staff to maintain closer supervision of the operations. There will be a main building (office, lab), a secondary building (blending of chemicals) and silos for the storage of water, brine and/or drilling mud.
- August 7, 2001 – The undertaking was registered.
- September 21, 2001 – The Minister announced that the undertaking was released from environmental assessment.
