Project Description:

The proponent intends to invest $10,000 to build a fenced area of approximately 800 square metres at 10 Corisande Drive in Mount Pearl to service offshore oil industry well completion activities. The fenced area would provide a storage location for tubulars until they can be shipped for cleaning and decontamination. In anticipation of construction, that would start not later than May 2002,the proponent has filed their Environmental Protection Plan for NORM (160 pages).

• January 9, 2002 – The undertaking was registered.
• February 13, 2002 – Public comments are due.
• March 5, 2002 – The Minister announced that the undertaking was released from environmental assessment.
