Forestry Water Quality Index (FWQI)

The Forestry Water Quality Index was developed under a tri-party agreement between the Department of Environment and Climate Change, the Department of Natural Resources and the Western Newfoundland Model Forest. It was developed to determine the effects of forest management on water quality for use in sustainable forest management. This option allows for the prediction of water quality after forestry activities take place. The FWQI has all the same functionality of the CWQI with the addition of the forestry analysis option.
