Project Description:
The proponent proposes to construct a 7 kilometre long All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) trail to access a remote cottage at Hickey’s Pond (local name), located on Tributary of Sandy Harbour River. The undertaking is located off the Burin Peninsula Highway near a body of water named Long Pond, approximately 35 km south of the Trans Canada Highway. It then travels in a generally southeast direction for approximately 7 kilometres to the proponent’s cabin at Hickey’s Pond. Construction is planned for the spring of 2005.
- September 29, 2004 – The undertaking was registered.
- November 8, 2004 – Public comments are due.
- November 22, 2004 – The Minister released the project from further environmental assessment.
