Project Description:
The proposal consists of two amendments to the current five-year operating plan for Forest Management District 17. The Squid Cove amendment includes 6.5 kilometres of new access road construction providing access to an additional 39,500 cubic metres of timber. The Raft Pond amendment entails the construction of four kilometres of access road providing access to 15,500 cubic metres of timber already approved in the existing five-year operating plan. This will be an integrated sawlog/energy wood operation. Construction and harvesting activities are planned to commence in the summer of 2010.

- March 3, 2010 – Public comments are due.
- March 12, 2010 – The Minister’s decision is due.
