Project Description:

The proponent has submitted a proposal to relocate and expand their fiberglass manufacturing facility to a leased 489 square metre facility at 54-70 Delaney’s Road in Foxtrap, Conception Bay South. This expansion will allow GFI Composites Ltd. to manufacture acrylic tub and showers for the residential housing market. Modifications to the facility include a four-metre fiberglass/styrene emissions stack and a dust extraction system. Excess raw materials such as resin, gel-coat and solvents will not be stored on site, rather delivered from a wholesaler as required.

• July 22, 2011 – The undertaking was registered.
• August 30, 2011 – Public comments are due.
• September 5, 2011 – The Minister’s decision is due.
• October 3, 2011 – The project is withdrawn.
