Project Description:

The proponent has submitted a proposal for the development of a three hectare quarry adjacent to an existing quarry near Grand Falls-Windsor. The site is located 600 metreswest of New Bay Road and a forest access road off New Bay Road will be used to access the site. Operations will include clearing, crushing, screening and pit run removal. The proposed quarry will provide sand and gravel for paving operations in the Grand Falls-Windsor area. Work is scheduled to take place between May and November 2012.

• April 17, 2012 – The undertaking was registered.
• May 24, 2012 – Public comments are due.
• May 27, 2012 – The Minister’s decision is due.
• August 8, 2012 – The undertaking was released.
