Project Description:

The proponent has submitted a proposal for the development of a 1.6 kilometre nature/hiking trail around golf hole #18 at the Wilds Golf Resort. Operations will include construction of boardwalks, crib steps, retaining walls, signage, stairs and bridges. The proposed hiking trail will provide the tourist industry a safe hiking surface built to withstand a higher volume of traffic and minimize damage to sensitive environments. The work is scheduled to being in Fall 2012.

• October 11, 2012 – The undertaking was registered.
• November 15, 2012 – Public comments are due.
• November 25, 2012 – The Minister’s decision is due.
• December 5, 2012 – The Minister announced that the project is released.
