Project Description:

The proponent proposes to add a pug mill operation along with a lime holding tank to the current holding tanks and water treatment systems at Logy Bay Road. The pug mill would be used to solidify and stabilize the waste drill muds for full treatment to allow for local disposal. The area required for the waste treatment processing unit would be 6 metres by 9 metres and it would take approximately 21 days to assemble.Construction is proposed to begin on July 1, 2013.

• May 13, 2013 – The undertaking was registered.
• June 20, 2013 – Deadline for public comments.
• June 27, 2013 – The minister’s decision is due.
• July 9, 2013 – The Minister announced that the project is released.
