Project Description:

The proponent proposes to develop 65 recreational cottage lots on the northwest side of Salmonier Line (Route 90), approximately one kilometre southwest of the Trans Canada Highway intersection on the Avalon Peninsula. The approximately 32 hectare area will be developed over a three to five year period. The project will include approximately nine kilometres of gravel road and a similar length of new electrical transmission line. Construction is expected to begin in July 2019 with initial lots to be made available later that summer or fall.

• April 18, 2018 – The undertaking was registered.
• May 25, 2018 – Deadline for public comments.
• June 2, 2018 – The Minister’s Decision is due.
• August 14, 2020 – Environmental Preview Report (EPR) is required.
• October 5, 2020 – EPR Guidelines are due to be issued.
• October 15, 2020 – Environmental Assessment Committee is appointed.
• December 17, 2020 – EPR Guidelines Issued.
