Project Description:

The proponent is proposing to develop a 29.8 hectare gravel, rock and sand quarry located near Dog Hills, approximately 500 metres from the Foxtrap Access Road and TCH Interchange. The proposed site is within the City of St. John’s municipal boundary and is accessible from the existing Pasture Lands Road. Site development will involve vegetation clearing, grubbing and stockpiling of overburden. Quarry operations will include blasting, excavation, crushing, stockpiling, loading and transport of aggregates.

• July 8, 2019 – The undertaking was registered.
• August 13, 2019 – Deadline for public comments.
• August 22, 2019 – The Minister’s decision is due
• November 6, 2019 – The undertaking is released.
