Project Description:

The proponent is proposing to develop a 14.1 hectare rock quarry adjacent to their existing quarry, located near Route 440 within the City of Corner Brook.  Access to the site is via an existing 1.2 kilometre gravel road off Route 440. Site development will involve vegetation clearing, grubbing and stockpiling of organics. Quarry operations will include drilling, blasting, ripping, crushing and screening.

• October 28, 2019 – The undertaking was registered.
• December 5, 2019 – Deadline for public comments.
• December 13, 2019 – The Minister’s decision is due.
• December 20, 2019 – The Minister’s decision is due (extended).
• January 27, 2020 – The Minister announced that the project is released.
• November 5, 2020 – The Minister announced the approved Environmental Protection Plan (EPP).
