Project Description:

The proponent proposes to develop a seven hectare quarry for gravel and sand in the Junction Brook area located approximately three kilometres east of Reidville in Western Newfoundland. The quarry will consist of two pits approximately four hectares and three hectares in size. The quarry will be accessed by an existing road on the western side of the Trans Canada Highway near Junction Brook.

• August 14, 2020 – The undertaking was registered.
• September 18, 2020 – Deadline for public comments.
• September 28, 2020 – The Minister’s decision is due.
• October 29, 2020 – The Minister announced the project is released.
