Project Description:

The proponent is proposing to develop an approximately 22-kilometre hiking trail network within the Town of Placentia that would link the region’s historical sites and natural viewscapes. The trail network would extend from Argentia to Point Verde, incorporating existing trails and roads. Proposed activities include vegetation clearing, construction and/or repairs of trails, boardwalks, footbridges, staircases and lookouts, and placement of signage.

• July 18, 2023 – The undertaking was registered.
• August 24, 2023 – Deadline for public comments.
• September 1, 2023 – The Minister’s decision is due.
• September 15, 2023 – The Minister’s decision is due (extended).
• September 13, 2023 – The Minister determined that the Project is released.
