Project Description:
The proponent is to develop a linked network of tourism amenities. The network will be known as the Labrador Pioneer Footpath and will consist of highway pull-offs, interpreted rest areas, wilderness trails linking communities, signage and marketing materials. The interpreted trail system will travel approximately 75 kilometres from L’Anse au Clair to Red Bay.
- July 29, 2008 – The undertaking was registered.
- September 3, 2008 – Public comments are due.
- September 12, 2008 – The Minister’s decision is due.
- September 23, 2008 – The Minister releases the undertaking from further environmental assessment.
