GuideBook – Guide to IM for Public Bodies

The GuideBook – Guide to Information Management for Public Bodies was developed by the OCIO to support the development of IM Programs and overall growth of IM capacity. It is the primary tool used by the IM Advisory Services of the OCIO in delivering services to clients.

The GuideBook consists of a series of individual guidelines that contain recommended approaches, with appendices that include, checklists, templates and examples, in three key areas:

Core IM Foundation
Guidelines focus on the development of core foundational elements of an IM Program.

IM Components
Guidelines support development of individual operational components of an IM Program.

IM Tools
Guidelines propose methodologies used to develop tools required by an IM Program.

Through OCIO’s IM Advisory Services departments and other public bodies can avail of support in building and improving their IM capacity using the GuideBook as a core focus.
