Apprenticeship Incentive Grant (AIG) | $1,000 per year or level after completing the first or second year in a designated Red Seal trade. Can apply for a maximum of two AIG grants. |
Apprenticeship Completion Grant (ACG) | Lifetime amount of $2,000 for registered apprentices who complete their training and have a journeyperson certification. |
Office to Advance Women Apprentices (OAWA) | Offers a wage subsidy incentive for Newfoundland and Labrador employers hiring women apprentices. |
Employment Services | Assists individuals in reaching their employment goals. |
Employment Insurance (EI) for apprentices | Benefits while unemployed and attending technical training. |
Canada Apprentice Loan | Up to $4,000 in interest-free loans per period of technical training. |
Tax deductions and credits for Apprentices and Tradepersons | The Government of Canada offers a range of tax credits and incentives for apprentices. |
