Apprenticeship Program Accreditation

Accreditation is an independent third-party assessment of an apprenticeship program using standards built upon best practices. These standards are identified in the National Occupational Analyses (NOA) or the Red Seal Occupational Standards (RSOS), and are reflected in the provincial plans of training. Accreditations are approved by the Provincial Apprenticeship and Certification Board.

When a program accreditation is initially granted, a certificate of accreditation is awarded for a three-year period. Training institutions must apply for re-accreditation prior to the expiry date. Re-accreditation is awarded for a five-year period.
