Apprenticeship Training and Schedule

Apprenticeship Level Training Schedule (2023-24): click here

Apprenticeship Level Training

  • involves in-school training with an established set of hours for each level of a trade; and
  • is scheduled by an Apprenticeship Program Officer once an apprentice has acquired the required number of employment hours.

An applicant registering as an apprentice, after completing a pre-employment program, will receive credit for level 1 and progress to the next level of training. If a pre-employment program has not been completed upon registration as an apprentice, level 1 will have to be completed prior to being eligible for level 2 training.

Apprenticeship On-line Training

Online training is currently available in five trades. For further information: click here

REQUEST FOR CHANGE IN LOCATION OF TRAINING

Apprentices scheduled for advanced level training may request a change of training location by completing the following form: Request for Change in Location of Training form

REFUSAL TO ATTEND TRAINING

An apprentice may have their apprenticeship status cancelled if they refuse to attend in-school training. Exceptions may apply. Please contact an Apprenticeship Program Officer for additional information. Requests will be reviewed on an individual basis.
