An agreement signed by Canada’s premiers has created the Provincial-Territorial Apprentice Mobility Protocol. This protocol directs provincial and territorial ministers responsible for apprenticeship, to provide relevant information for apprentices and employers, and to recognize work hours and technical training completed by apprentices regardless of the jurisdiction. The protocol applies to apprentices and recent graduates of college trades programs, who are moving permanently or temporarily to another province.
