Skills Canada promotes careers in the skilled trade sector primarily through the annual Skills Canada National Competition, as well as through provincial competitions. Every two years, top medalists of the Skills Canada National Competition continue their training to secure placement on World Skills Team Canada and compete at the World Skills Competition, where their skills are put to the test at the international level against top competitors from around the world.
