The Health Workforce Planning Division’s goal is to ensure a sustainable health workforce through building a solid base of data and research upon which projections and key human resource policy decisions can be made. The division supports evidence-based decision making for health workforce issues by disseminating research and evaluation data, providing information for strategic planning, advising stakeholders on policy and program development, and facilitating provincial health workforce planning activities. The division partners with several stakeholder groups including the regional health authorities, Federal and Provincial Governments, professional associations, educational institutions, unions, and other organizations.
