What can patients do to help?

Arrive on time for your appointment, procedure or test.

Remember, if you are unable to make your appointment, please call ahead within 48 to 72 hours before your appointment time to let us know.
This way we can still use this appointment time by offering it to another patient who is still waiting.


Patients can also do their part by keeping in contact with their doctor and other health care providers if:

  • you change your phone number or address;
  • you are moving away to another region or province;
  • you plan to be away for an extended time;
  • you are unable to make your appointment; and
  • you change your mind about having the procedure or test you are waiting for.
