Investigation of Health Hazard

In addition to the routine (or regular) activities that are carried out under the various environmental health program areas, Environmental Health Officers also apply their public health knowledge and experience to investigate and remedy rare and/or unusual hazards that people face in the environment in which they live. Non-routine health hazard investigations occur in relation to:

  • pest control
  • noise abatement
  • unsanitary conditions
  • housing
  • indoor air quality, etc.

To have a health hazard complaint or concern investigated by an Environmental Health Officer, you should contact an office of the Government Service Centre located nearest you.
