The provincial Kidney Program provides leadership and oversight of kidney care initiatives and dialysis programs in the regional health authorities to ensure provision of high quality services to all residents of the province.
Kidney care services include:
- In-center and satellite hemodialysis (acute and chronic);
- Home based therapies (peritoneal dialysis and hemodialysis);
- Progressive renal impairment clinics;
- Dialysis access services;
- Kidney transplant work-up and follow-up; and,
- Nephrology medical specialist care.
