The Provincial Government is committed to improving wait times throughout Newfoundland and Labrador. To further that commitment a Strategy to Reduce Emergency Department Wait Times and a Strategy to Reduce Hip and Knee Joint Replacement Surgery Wait Times have been released.
The vision through these strategies is that all residents receive appropriate and timely access to services provided in emergency departments and within the national benchmarks set for hip and knee joint replacement surgery.
