For written and online examinations, apprentices must:
- remove outerwear (i.e. hat, hoodie, coat);
- give backpacks, purses, and cell phones to the invigilator for storage;
- have other items approved by the invigilator before bringing into the exam room (i.e. water, food);
- show government issued photo ID;
- not communicate with or disrupt other apprentices;
- ask invigilator for approval to leave exam room, and only in the case of an emergency;
- use pencils, calculators and scrap paper provided by invigilator; and
- return all materials provided to the invigilator.
Additionally, online examination apprentices must:
- not open any other computer programs or websites during the exam
- not look at computer monitor of another apprentice during the exam;
- click the “save” button after answering each question. Apprentices may change answers, however the “save” button must be clicked for the answer to be recorded; and
- indicate to the invigilator that they are ready to submit the online exam.
PLEASE NOTE: based on unforeseen circumstances (i.e. fire alarm, equipment failure), start and stop exam times may be adjusted. If there is a substantial break in time, exams may have to be rescheduled. Failure to comply with exam room rules will result in immediate termination of the exam.
