- Individuals interested in writing an examination should review the general examination conditions that govern blaster examinations.
- Complete the examination application for level 1, level 2 or level 3 and submit to jamesbrake@gov.nl.ca.
- The required examination fee must be paid online: click here.
- Applicants will be notified of exam date, time and location.
- All examinations are facilitated and monitored by department officials.
- Grading is performed by departmental staff.
- Applicants are advised of examination results. The results are recorded on the Apprenticeship and Trades Certification Division database for blasters, and completed examinations are kept on file for one year.
- Requests for appeals must be submitted in writing to the examination coordinator, within one month of the date of notification of examination results.
- A fee may be assessed for a re-read of the blaster exam.
- Appeals are forwarded to an independent examiner.
- Results of appeals are forwarded to applicant.
